A Gorman-Rupp Company subsidiary since 1988, Patterson has built a trusted reputation for reliable pump installations worldwide. Patterson Pump Company is located in Toccoa, GA, with a second facility in Mullingar, Ireland.
AN Extensive Fire Pump Legacy
In 1989, Dave Lawler purchased the assets of Equipment Engineers, Inc. from Carl Hill of Conshohocken. Since the 1950s, Carl has been supplying process, industrial, and fire pumps in Philadelphia, as well as line shaft turbines and fire pumps for ships built at the area ship yards and the Philadelphia Navy Yard. With the decline of manufacturing in Philadelphia, he was going to retire and close the business after forty years.
The importance of fire sprinkler systems was highlighted by the One Meridian Plaza fire in Philadelphia on February 23, 1991. The impact included changes to fire and building codes, as well as to state and local requirements.

Kate lawler
Dave supplied Patterson pumps to many of the high-rise buildings in Philadelphia. In 2014, Dave brought his niece Kate to Equipment Engineers. While Dave continued to manage the business, Kate worked as technical sales and field operations director, operations director, and eventually became president. She is now the owner of the business.

Back in 1989, Dave Lawler took the reins of Equipment Engineers Inc. from Carl Hill in Conshohocken. Since then, they've been your go-to for top-notch fire pumps. With a focus on sales and service, they've got all your fire protection needs covered.
Service Manager: Matt Parker
In 2021, Matt Parker came on as Service Manager to help with field acceptance testing, parts, and service. Matt has had long-term experience with engines and pumps from his time as a volunteer firefighter.
Service Tech:
Alex Carpenter
In 2022, Alex Carpenter was hired as a service technician after graduating from vocational school with a focus on fire safety. He is also a volunteer firefighter for the local company and earned the Firefighter of the Year award for the Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company in 2022.
